The number represents how much heat an air conditioner can remove from a space within an hour. The higher the BTU, the more cooling power it has, which is essential for larger rooms.

A 9,000 BTU air conditioner is ideal for small to medium rooms up to 18m2
A 12,000 BTU air conditioner suits medium to larger rooms up to 27m2
Smart air conditioners use a similar amount of power to regular AC units of the same BTU rating. What makes a smart portable air conditioner more energy efficient is the way in which you control them. For example, the Myko app helps you avoid unnecessary usage by letting you switch off the unit from anywhere, set schedules and adjust temperature as soon as you feel comfortable.
Yes. Myko units meet strict safety standards and include built-in protection. Keep your app updated for smooth, secure performance.
No. Myko smart air conditioners run from a standard wall socket and connect to the Myko app via Wi-Fi. No extra wiring, hubs or tools are needed, but you'll need to place the device close to a window or door for the hose to work.
Yes, the unit will still cool, ventilate and dehumidify with the physical controls. You will not be able to use the Myko app or voice control until your Wi-Fi returns, but the AC itself will keep running.
A smart air conditioner works on its own and does not need a smart plug. Simply connect the unit to your Myko app and you'll have full control over the features.
It would not be recommended for any type of air con unit to be used with a smart plug due to the typically higher power requirement.
