Smart devices are ‘online’ when they are turned on and connected to your home Wi-Fi network. This allows them to communicate with the Myko app on your phone wherever you go. If the WiFi is switched off, then the devices go ‘offline’ and can no longer be controlled by the app.

Some devices might also use Bluetooth for local control, which means your phone has to be within a few metres of the device.
